Hello,

after a long period of braimstorming, work, testing the new Freedomotic version is ready. From the previous release we introduced a new codename based on famous books, movies and cartoons robots.

Ideas for an open source KNX gateway

After a long exchange of ideas each others, I and Alberto decided to choose an open souce hardware and software platform upon which base the development of a freedomotic knx plugin; the alternative was choosing a completely software based solution throught a knx plant software emulator kindly provided by Calimero libraries maker, Boris.

Freedomotic on Raspberry New test [Video]

Hi all,

this test shows Freedomotic running on Raspberry Pi with Raspbian distro and Oracle JDK embedded. Image stored on a class 4 sdcard 8GB. Good performances also with a java GUI.

Udoo supports Freedomotic!

Hi all!

Our hardware lab is working hard in these days. We are testing Freedomotic on the new Udoo boards.

It's a multi development platform solution for Android, Linux, Arduino™ and Google ADK 2012. The board is designed to provide a flexible environment that allows to explore the new frontiers of the Internet of Things. UDOO allows you to switch between Linux and Android in a few seconds, simply by replacing the Micro SD card and rebooting the system.

Now Udoo team is preparing a Debian Wheezy Hard Float distribution. Read more »
